Watch the eight Harry Potter films in release order, which also follows Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) from his first year at Hogwarts to the battle that ends the story. Using the rounded cinema runtimes, credits included, they add up to 19 hours and 39 minutes before breaks.

Start with Sorcerer’s Stone, called Philosopher’s Stone in the UK, and keep the two Deathly Hallows films close together, because Part 1 stops in the middle of the story. The three Fantastic Beasts films are prequels set decades earlier and can wait.
