These Terms govern your use of ShatteredBulbs (the “Site”). By using it, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Operated by the operator of ShatteredBulbs, based in India, publishing under the name ShatteredBulbs. Contact: hello@shatteredbulbs.com.
Eligibility
The Site is for a general audience. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian.
What the Site is
ShatteredBulbs publishes editorial movie and television reviews and opinion, for information and entertainment. That is all it is.
Reviews are opinion — and that matters
Every review, score, ranking, and piece of commentary on this Site is opinion and fair comment on a matter of public interest. None of it is an assertion of verifiable fact.
A film is not “bad” as a matter of fact. We think it is bad, and we tell you why. You are free to disagree, and plenty of you will.
Nothing here is intended to defame, disparage, or make a factual allegation about any person or company. Where we call a performance weak, a script lazy, or a film a failure, we are expressing a critical judgment about the work — not stating a fact about the people who made it. Do not rely on any review as the sole basis for any decision.
Our content
The original content on this Site — the reviews, the writing, the ShatteredBulbs™ name, the bulb rating system, the bulb illustrations, and the design — belongs to the operator of ShatteredBulbs and is protected by copyright and trade-mark law.
(We have applied to register SHATTEREDBULBS as a trade mark in India. The application is pending, so we use ™. We will use ® if and when it registers.)
You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our original content without written permission — except that you may quote briefly with attribution and a link back. We like being quoted. We don’t like being copied.
Other people’s content
Movie posters, stills, and similar material belong to their respective owners. We use them for identification, commentary, criticism, and review. See the Disclaimer for our position and our takedown procedure.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the Site unlawfully. Don’t scrape or systematically harvest it by automated means without permission. Don’t try to break into it, and don’t interfere with its operation.
User content
The Site does not currently accept comments, submissions, or uploads. If that changes, these Terms will be updated first, and you will remain responsible for anything you submit.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete, or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of ShatteredBulbs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.
Links out
We link to sites we don’t control and aren’t responsible for.
Suspension
We may suspend or restrict access at any time where reasonably necessary — for security, legal, or operational reasons.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting any proceeding, please email hello@shatteredbulbs.com and give us a fair chance to sort it out. Most things can be.
General
- Severability — if a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
- Entire agreement — these Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between us regarding the Site.
- No waiver — not enforcing something once is not giving it up.
- Assignment — you may not assign your rights; we may assign ours if the Site or business is transferred.
- Force majeure — we are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Survival — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.
- Language — written in English, which prevails over any translation.
Changes
We may revise these Terms. Changes take effect when posted with a revised “Last updated” date.
