Opinions, not facts
Every review, score, and piece of commentary on ShatteredBulbs is the honest opinion of its author, published for criticism, information, and entertainment. It is not professional, legal, financial, or any other advice. Your enjoyment of a film is your own; our score is one view, strongly held and freely given.
Fair comment, and no defamation
Our reviews are fair comment and honest opinion on matters of public interest. They are not assertions of verifiable fact, and they are not intended to defame or disparage anyone.
Criticism of a work is not an allegation about a person. If we say a performance didn’t land or a script was lazy, that is a critical judgment about the film — not a factual claim about anyone who made it.
If you believe we have stated something as fact that is actually false, tell us. See Corrections.
Accuracy
We try to get the facts right — release dates, cast, runtimes, ratings — but we don’t guarantee they are complete, current, or error-free.
Corrections
If you think we published a factual error, email hello@shatteredbulbs.com. We will check it, and if we got it wrong we will correct it and say so.
Posters, stills, and other people’s copyright
Movie posters, stills, key art, and similar materials on this Site are the property of their respective owners. We claim no ownership of them.
We use them for identification, commentary, criticism, and review, which we believe is permitted as fair dealing for the purpose of criticism or review under Section 52(1)(a)(ii) of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, as fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107, and under comparable provisions elsewhere.
We take that position seriously, and we limit ourselves accordingly:
- Official promotional material only — the film’s official site, the studio’s or film’s verified accounts, or Wikipedia’s official poster file. Never from other review sites, fan wikis, or stock agencies.
- Web resolution only. We do not upscale and we do not host high-resolution files.
- Every image sits beside genuine critical writing about that specific work. We do not use images decoratively.
- We attribute where attribution is practical.
- Every image on this Site can be removed with a single click, and we remove on notice. See below.
Copyright complaints — how to get something taken down
If you are a rights-holder and believe material here infringes your copyright, email hello@shatteredbulbs.com with:
- What the work is — enough to identify it.
- Where it is — the exact URL on our Site.
- Who you are — name, organisation, and how to reach you.
- Your authority — a statement that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner.
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised.
We will review it promptly and, where appropriate, remove the material. We would far rather take a poster down than argue about one. If we believe a use is protected and want to keep it, we will tell you why and talk to you — but the material comes down while we do.
